Itinerary
Day 1
Arrive in Kathmandu. Overnight stay in Hotel
Day 2
Flight to Lukla (2,850m/9,350 ft) 40 minutes, Trek to Phakding ( 2650 m/ 8562 ft ) - Walking Distance (9 kms) - 3 hours
Day 3
Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3,440m/11,285 ft)- Walking Distance (10 kms) - 6 hours
Day 4
Rest day and Acclimatization at Namche Bazaar
Day 5
Namche Bazaar to Tengboche - (4,200m/13,270ft) walking Distance (11 kms)- 5 hrs.
Day 6
Tengboche to Dingboche (4,470m/14,450ft) Walking Distance- (7 kms) 5-6 hrs.
Day 7
Rest day to acclimatize at Dingboche
Day 8
Dingboche to Lobuche (4,700m/15,400ft) Walking Distance (4 kms)- 5 hrs.
Day 9
Lobuche to Everest Base Camp and back (5,364m/17,598ft)to gorak shep (5,185m/ 17,010 ft)-Walking Distance (15 kms) -6-8 hours

Pheriche(4,250m/13,945ft) to Namche Bazaar (3,440m/11,285 ft) -walking distance (14 kms) 6-7 hrs.
Day 12
Namche Bazaar to Lukla (2,850m/9,350 ft) - walking distance (13.5 kms)- 6-7 hrs.
Day 13
Fly back to Kathmandu. Trek ends

What's included
- Accommodation - Tea houses, hotels (It is not allowed to put campsite on the trail) – Stay is included from Day 2 to Day 11 (Phakding to Namche)
- Meals - 3 times a day; veg./egg only (includes freshly-cooked meals, snacks, tea /coffee/soup, etc.)
- Day 2 - Evening refreshments + Dinner - provided by ALPINE SUMMITERS team
- Day 2 - 12 - Breakfast + Lunch + Dinner + Refreshments - provided by the ALPINE SUMMITERS team. (All meals from dinner at Phakding on Day 2 to breakfast at Namche Bazaar on Day 12 are included. We provide simple, nutritious vegetarian food on all days of the trek.)

- Cloak room facility - In case you have an extra bag that you do not require during the trek, you can leave it at the cloak room provided by us at your basecamp. Do not leave valuables such as laptops, mobile phones, cash etc.
What's excluded
- Domestic/International Airfare charges to and from Lukla.
- Meals during transit to and from Lukla.
- Trek Insurance for Helicopter rescue.
- Offloading backpack If you wish to offload your backpack; there will be an additional charge of Rs. 600 per backpack per person (inclusive of taxes). The backpack cannot weigh more than 9 kg. Suitcases/strolleys/duffel bags will not be allowed.
- Cost incurred due to change in itinerary due to change in weather conditions, roadblocks or any natural factors beyond human control.
- Additional services availed during the trek (including mules, assistance, health related support etc.)
IMPORTANT POINTS
- It is mandatory for trekkers to carry a copy of their photo ID for entry at forest check posts on the trek.
- If you're flying into Nepal you need a passport to show at the airport in Nepal
- All participants are expected to have a fitness level, stamina and the ability to sustain harsh environments.
- Every trekker will have to undergo a temperature and other vitals check every day.
- Do weigh your Gears post packing. It should not exceed the range of 10-12 kg – preferably on the lighter side.

By bus
In case a flight from Kathmandu to Lukla isn’t working out, your other option to Lukla will be to take a flight from Manthali airport, which is close to Ramechhap.Take a regular shared cab or bus from Kathmandu to Ramechhap, cost NPR 500 which is much more comfortable than a bus and moves after every one hour. The duration of the drive is between 5-7 hours. And these modes of transport are almost always available in trekking season.

PREPARATION GUIDE
- Have some previous trekking experience.
- Weight train the body. Walk uphill or stairs steps with a weighted back pack.
- Strength training for the lower body and core. Do planks, crunches and cycling.
- Trekking to EBC requires a fit body and a conscious mind. One needs to be exercising regularly for the past 3-4 months.
- Any high altitude trek requires you to build a good amount of cardiovascular endurance. Jogging is the best exercise to increase your stamina.
- You need strong legs to successfully finish a high altitude trek. Squats are the best way to build leg strength quickly,especially your thighs, glutes and knees.
