DAY 1
Arrive in Manali
Today you arrive in Manali and meet our team at your hotel/guesthouse. After an introduction and briefing session, you are free to explore Manali. Overnight in hotel.

DAY 2
Manali to Jispa (3200 M) - 120 km, 6 hrs Drive
Today we will drive to Jispa on the stunning Leh-Manali highway across high altitude villages via Rothang pass, Tandi (confluence of Bhaga and Chandra river) Sisa village (temple of Raja Ghepan). We will drive along the Bhaga river and reach Jispa. Overnight in hotel/tents.

DAY 3
Jispa to Bharatpur (4500 M) - 90 km, 5 hrs Drive
Today we will drive to Bharatpur which is going to be our base for the Yunam Peak expedition via Deepak Tal, Suraj Tal and the famous Baralacha La Pass. Overnight in tents at Bharatpur.

DAY 4
Acclimatisation in Bharatpur (4500 M)
Today we will spend a day at Bharatpur Base Camp taking small hikes and this acclimatizing at the high altitude.

DAY 5
Bharatpur to Base Camp (5200 M) - 5 km, 4 hrs Trek
Today we trek to the base camp of Yunam Peak that is located near a small lake. Today's trek will take you across moraine with a gradual and eventually a steep ascent. There will be several stream crossings until you reach the base camp. Overnight in camps.

DAY 6
Acclimatization at Base Camp
Today will be an acclimatization day at the base camp. There will be a summit briefing followed by a training session, and prepare equipment needed for the next day's summit push. We will go for small hikes nearby. Have an early dinner and rest for the night. Overnight in camps.

Base Camp to Summit (6111 M) and back to Base Camp - 6.5 km, 8 hrs
Today we will start early for the summit push. We will climb over moraines, sharp rocks, snow patches and a snow wall at the top with a steep ascent. The summit gives you stunning views of the surrounding mountain ranges. We will head back and retire at the base camp.

Base Camp to Bharatpur. Drive to Manali.
Today we will trek back to Bharatpur and board our vehicles and drive down to Manali. Expect to reach Manali by 6pm. We bid you goodbye.

IMPORTANT POINTS
- It is mandatory for trekkers to carry a copy of their photo ID for entry at forest check posts on the trek.
- All participants are expected to have a fitness level, stamina and the ability to sustain harsh environments.
- Every trekker will have to undergo a temperature and other vitals check every day.
- Do weigh your Gears post packing. It should not exceed the range of 10-12 kg – preferably on the lighter side.

You need to reach the trek base Manali of your own.
Ample choice of bus, ranging from regular, luxury and Volvo operated by both Govt. and private agencies from New Delhi and Chandigarh to Manali.
1)From Delhi (Kashmiri Gate ISBT) the buses normally start in the afternoon and reaches Manali next day by noon. Depending upon the service it may take 14 to 16 hrs. Distance is around 550 Km.
2)From Chandigarh ISBT there are regular bus services for Manali, starting in the early morning. It may take 8 to 10 hrs depending upon the bus service. Distance around 320 Km.

PREPARATION GUIDE
- Have some previous trekking experience.
- Weight train the body. Walk uphill or stairs steps with a weighted back pack.
- Strength training for the lower body and core. Do planks, crunches and cycling.
- This Expedition requires a fit body and a conscious mind. One needs to be exercising regularly for the past 3-4 months.
- Any high altitude trek requires you to build a good amount of cardiovascular endurance. Jogging is the best exercise to increase your stamina.
- You need strong legs to success fully finish a high altitude trek. Squats are the best way to build leg strength quickly. Especially your thighs, glutes and knees.
